Our experience: Chocolate Fondue in Amsterdam

Hi fellow chocolate lovers!

After the Schokolade Museum experience, we have another chocolicious experience! It might sound familiar to some of you but we enjoyed it very much: the chocolate fondue! Of course is it possible to make a chocolate fondue yourself, but how nice is it to give yourself still more perks? In fact, we travelled to Amsterdam to enjoy a luxury chocolate fondue in Hotel Die Port van Cleve, only 10 footsteps away from ‘De Dam’ in Amsterdam!

Die Port van Cleve is a 4-star hotel and welcomes you to its pleasant ambience, where a combination of history and hospitality are matched with style and modern comfort. Located in the center of Amsterdam, next to the Magna Plaza shopping center, this hotel is perfectly located to see all the main tourist attractions of Amsterdam. The hotel is within walking distance from the central station.
We were served in the cozy restaurant of the hotel: 'Brasserie de Poort', this restaurant has also a lot of historical components. The staff was very friendly and waitress told us the history of the café and hotel, such a nice bonus. The English of the staff is incredibly well, proved by the waitress, who told her history story in fluently English to British costumers.

To the point, the chocolate fondue! We were extremely curious and therefore a little bit impatient. Fortunately to us, it didn’t take a long time for the chocolate fondue being served. It looked delicious and tasted as it. About 8 different pieces of fruit were served with the fondue, as well as self-made peanut cookies, self-made brownies, self-made coconut cookies and some candy.

There isn’t much left to say, exept the recommendation to try it! The chocolate fondue itself is delicious, but the city Amsterdam has also plenty to offer. Read more about Amsterdam and Hotel Die Port van Cleve at http://www.iamsterdam.com/en/visiting and http://www.dieportvancleve.com/

With love,

Chocolicious
